Reading follow-up

In reading this week we read an article from Kiwi kids News about Fortnite. I had talk about why I thought the author wrote this text. This is my follow up task:
Why did the author write this text?

I think that the author wanted to inform us that people especially parents are worried that their children are getting addicted to it like a drug. He said that most of the people say that they love to play fortnite but didn’t say that they were addicted to it. We think the author’s purpose was to show people how fortnite can be addicting and how it concerns parents.
