T1 W3 Writing Create- Instructions

Hi everyone! This week for writing we had to write instructions for a 5 year old and a 10 year old. We had to write about the game we're doing for our school fair. But my group at the time still wasn't completely sure in what we were doing for the fair so I just wrote instructions for a bean bag toss. My instructions are made for a 5 year old to understand,
Here are my instructions:

Geometry an Measurement- Area

Hi everyone! This week for maths we were working on Geometry and Measurement or to be more specific Area. I had already worked on this last year so it wasn't that hard. We worked on 3 shapes rectangles, parallelograms and triangles. For our create task we had to make our own problems for a buddy to answer, we had to have 2 of each shape.
These are my problems:

Reading Create T1 W3- Caritas

Hi everyone! This week for reading we read all about Caritas and their mission in Papua new Guinea. We read about Papua new Guinea's struggles with climate change, their disasters range from droughts and coral bleaching to floods and storm surges, those four maybe different in a lot of ways but they're all affecting  Papua new Guinea. Having constant floods and droughts result to Papua new Guinea losing some of their food sources. Well for our DLO/ Create task for this workshop we had to make a poster/ infographic all about Papua new Guinea  and Caritas informing people about what's happening in Papua new Guinea and what Caritas is doing to help them.
here is my poster:

2020!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog, I hope you had a good holiday and that school for you is going good so far. Anyways today I'll be talking about some hopes and goals for this school year, things that I'm looking forward to and a few things I did over my holidays.

First some goals I have for this year are,
-Being a better student academic wise, and getting things done on time but also at a good standard.
-Being a better role model for all the younger students especially now that I'm a year 8.
-Making sure that I am more attentive when the teachers give out instructions and make sure that I follow through with what they told me.
Those are just some goals that I've set for myself this year but I'm sure I will probably have more as the year goes on.

Some things I'm looking forward to this year are,
-Getting into leadership groups and generally helping around the school more.
-I'm also looking forward to doing PBL (Project Based Learning) because I had fun working on those projects and learning all those things during the process.

I didn't really do that much for the holidays because my parents were still pretty busy but I did see some of my friends and went on a few hikes with beautiful scenery.

Thank you for reading my blog!
What did you do over the holidays?
