S P O R T S

Hi everyone! The past 3 weeks we have been doing sports. The sports we've done are Softball, Cricket and Korfball. Korfball was very fun because I was very unfamiliar with the sport, the premise of the sport is basically like netball, the rules of course are different but some of the rules are the same. Softball is well just the usual softball. And Cricket is still the same. I had tons of fun during the rotations and it gave me a chance to try new things like Korfball.

Have you ever played Korfball?

Quick book review

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about a book I recently finished, A Series of Unfortunate Events book number 6, Ersatz elevator by Lemony Snicket. I started this book series since the end of last year and the books are also made into a movie and a Netflix original TV show.
This book series is about the story of the Baudelaire orphans after their parents and home burned down in a fire, it follows their story from the start when they were put in the care of Count Olaf, an evil man who only wants their enormous fortune that was left by the Baudelaire's parents before they died. The eldest Baudelaire, Violet, will get the fortune once she becomes of age, before then they were placed in care of a lot of people but everywhere they went it seemed like treachery was around. This book is about the Baudelaire orphans newest guardian, Esme Gigi Genevieve Squalor and her husband Jerome Squalor. They live on 667 Dark Avenue in the penthouse apartment, Esme is the 6th most important financial adviser and is unbelievably wealthy. In the previous  book "The Austere Academy" their friends the Quagmires triplets, Duncan and Isadora, were kidnapped by Count Olaf, The Quagmires like the Baudelaire's have an enormous fortune but in the form of the famous Quagmire Sapphires after their parents died in a fire which also took the life of their triplet Quigley Quagmire. This book also focuses on the Baudelaire Orphans looking for the the Quagmire triplets also while looking out for Count Olaf.
Will the Orphans find their friends?
Will Count Olaf find them?
Read the book to find out more:)

Have you ever read A Series of Unfortunate Events?

Top team!

Hi everyone! A few weeks ago my school had top team! Top team is basically a really fun gave where you get put into teams and do different activities and move around the stations. The activities range from giant jenga to water activities where u have to get as much water into a bucket while sitting in a single file line and passing the water with tiny baskets. Our school usually does Top team once a year and it's always very fun. Although my team didn't win it was still very enjoyable.

Thank you for reading my blog!

Tough Kids!

Hi everyone! A few weeks ago our school participated in the Tough kids  challenge. The tough kids challenge is a mud run with a bunch of fun obstacles like running through inflatable pools filled with water and jumping over fences and other things like that. I ran with my friends Katrina and Sophie, I was really surprised because I was less muddy than I thought I would be but all the mud probably got washed off when I went into the water.  That's all I have for you guys today hope you enjoyed my blog!

Have you ever done a mud run?

P o e m s !

Hi everyone! This week for our reading workshop we had to write a poem, the poem had to be about a new beginning in our life to be more specific a poem about a time where you were at the end of the driveway anticipating a new beginning.
Here is my poem:
At the end of the driveway,
Anticipated my fate,

It was actually my birthday,
But there was no cake.

I said my goodbyes,
As I stared at the star struck skies,

We waited and waited,
Until it was time,

We boarded the aircraft,
At some people, I laughed

It was a gruelling 8 hours,
Filled with sleep but no showers.

Thank you for reading my blog!

Summer learning journey!

Hi everyone! This week we are trying the summer learning journey. The summer learning journey is just activities you can do on your blog over the holidays, doing these blogs will help you maintain your learning during summer. This week we're only doing the teasers that they offer just to get a taste of the activities.
The activity I am doing is all about researching and making a digital infographic for the famous singer from New Zealand, Lorde. Lorde gained her popularity in 2013, her hit single "Royals" was the song from her album that really sky rocketed her career.
Lorde was born in November 7, 1996 in Takapuna.
